Attention UK devs!

Visa is inviting the best brains in tech and design to come together the weekend of March 22nd to help solve some of the biggest issues plaguing British small businesses.

Small businesses are at the very heart of the British economy, so helping them optimise new technologies to operate more efficiently allows them to focus on what they do best.

The Design Hack will take place over three days, during which the designers and developers selected to participate will be put into teams to build workable solutions designed to address a variety of small business challenges. For additional credit at judging time, they will be encouraged to leverage Visa APIs to support their solutions. Make sure to check out the small business filter for the most relevant APIs on our developer platform.

We’ve identified four pain-points most business share which attendees will be tasked with designing solutions for:

  1. Access
  2. Administration
  3. Payments
  4. International Trade

But it’s not just limited to those four. Participants are encouraged to consider their own business challenges to take on.

At the end of the event, a professional expert panel will judge the proposed solutions and will award the winners a share of a cash prize of £7,000.  Visa will also give the winners the opportunity to come to the Visa Innovation Centre in London and discuss some of the latest topics in innovation.

Our event will take place in a dynamic working space in Holborn in London.
