Each year we conduct a Visa Developer User Survey to learn what we can do as a developer platform to improve your experience.

Below is a list of some of the improvements we made based on last year’s survey. If there are other requests, please let us know in the comments section. We will also be sharing our 2019 survey next month so please start collecting your feedback now.

Changes we made:

Feedback: “Show Real Use Cases” - You asked for better ways to find API solutions needed for specific business use-cases.

  • Solution: We launched, Use Cases. Got a business problem? Check out the various use cases and examples to see how Visa APIs can solve your needs. Some use cases include:
    • Enroll, travel, transact - Cardholder enrolls in Mobile Location Confirmation service, travels to a new location and confidently makes a purchase transaction
    • Enhanced Travel ExperienceProvide a more seamless payment experience and easy access to information regardless of cardholder location. Use geo location to reduce false declines
    • Keep Your Card Top-of-Wallet - Issuer enables the Visa card to be securely and conveniently used in digital wallets in order to keep the card top-of-wallet and remove the need to re-issue a card when a device with a digital wallet is lost.
    • Provide Relevant Offers - Provide an extensive list of relevant offers for your cardholders to help drive card usage and loyalty.

Feedback: “Improve password creation when registering” – You asked us to make password requirements/rules clearer.

  • Solution: We’ve added a pop-up that lists the rules and checks off each requirement as you create your password

Feedback: “Allow users to share projects”You wanted to share your projects between users, so that you can collaborate with other developers at your company.

  • Solution: We’ve added an “Invite User” option on your project dashboard which gives you ability to share your project with other users along with assigning specific roles for each user.

Feedback: “Add more tutorials”You want to see more guides to understand how to get started and how to navigate the portal

  • Solution: We created four new tutorials from Getting Started to Going into Production - check them out here
  • Solution: We published the “Working with Visa APIs” which is our new Getting Started Guide with more information to take you from start to finish of the implementation process.

We continue to work on improving the platform and if you have any suggestions, please comment below.
