offer and benefit API

Hi developers.

I am planning to develop a project in Turkey and later in UK ,  includes (but limited to ) the following aspects :

1-involved parties are banks , merchants , end users and our SAAS platform .

2-the core of the project is delivering offers to end users through banks and merchants Apps.

3-the merchants will initiate the offer , when the end user opens his bank App or merchant App a popup message alert will inform the user about that offer ,

I have successfully implement Visa Merchant Offers Resource Center API but I could not find how to set (or initiate the offer ) , if offer initiation feature is included in Visa Offers Platform API  please how to get access to this API for third parity developer like me because it's mentioned that it's available for issuers only , what is the possible scenarios to get access to this API ? do I need to have  sponsorship from an issuer for example ?
WHAT API's SHOULS I USE TO IMPLEMENT SUCH FUNCTIONS ?

Hi @salah,

The Visa Offers Platform API is only available for use by Issuer Banks.

Thanks,

Re: offer and benefit API

what is you mean by available to use by independent developer in API page "https://developer.visa.com/capabilities/visa_direct" in upper right side inside the box.?

is that by mistake or it means I can as independent developer to build the system then offer the service to my audience ?

Re: offer and benefit API

Hi @salah,

The Visa Direct API is available for use by Independent Developers. Independent Developers are startup businesses and/or a startup company. You can integrate the Visa Direct API in your project and then offer your service to your audience.

Thanks,

Tee

Re: offer and benefit API

Hi Diana.

thank you for your reply .

Do you mean that we as start up company we can build our system without being sponsored by issuer bank?

Re: offer and benefit API

Hi @salah,

You'll need a sponsor (Acquirer bank), who can do settlement for you.  Acquirer means banks who can accept payments. You will have to develop a relationship with Visa acquirer banks, which will help you create an account to do settlement on behalf of your clients which have different bank’s issued cards.

Make sure to tell them you're looking for a Visa Direct acquirer because not all Visa licensed acquirers can sponsor Visa Direct programs.

Thanks,

Tee

Re: offer and benefit API

Hi @salah,

Visa does not have a list of acquirers to provide to you. If you are not able to find an acquirer, please refer to this page - https://usa.visa.com/run-your-business/visa-direct/find-a-partner.html

When contacting a Visa licensed acquirer, make you tell them that you're looking for a Visa Direct acquirer because not all Visa licensed acquirers are enabled to sponsor Visa Direct programs.

Thanks,

Tee
