in our banking app we use the API of VISA for the ATM search. Very often our customers report problems that the data is no longer reliable.
Often the ATMs no longer exist and the customers drive through many stops only to find an ATM after many failed attempts.
Are there any plans to improve the ATM search in the near future?

The data within the ATM Locator is driven by the acquirer/ATM owner.
Acquirers are required to update their ATMs on a quarterly basis.
There is an ongoing effort to improve the data quality and functionality of the ATM Locator website.

That could possibly be the cause since acquirers participating in the ATM Locator program are supposed to update the data manually.
There are future plans to improve the Global ATM Locator and its' data.
