Hi There,
Anyone know if there's an API to retrieve the current 'Available limit' on a Credit Card ?
Searched through the Forum messages and API reference, couldn't find specific reference to this ? Probably I missed if there's one already.
Appreciate if anyone can help on this.
Thanks
-Sandeep

Hi @urmsandeep,
Visa Transaction Controls offers blocks and alerts for the spend limit. Cardholders can set daily, weekly, or monthly spend limits. Here is the documentation to the VTC API: https://developer.visa.com/capabilities/vctc/docs
The B2B Virtual Account Payment Method supports multiple payment options and handles both supplier-initiated and buyer-initiated payments. It also supports multiple account control options using authorization controls and credit limit adjustments at the processor. Here's the documentation to the B2B VAPM API: https://developer.visa.com/capabilities/vpa/docs
While setting the spending limit was the next topic I was going to research, I had the same question as @urmsandeep, is there a Visa API that would return a customer's current limit?
As well, the current balance would be required for our use case as well.
Thank you for your question, @chimmel1! An agent will get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, if any community member knows the solution, please reply to this thread! -Jenn
Hi @chimmel1,
Similar to my colleague's reply above, Visa Transaction Controls allows a card holder to configure controls made available by the card issuer, allowing the card holder to set alerts for spend limit, recurring payments, etc.
There is also DPS Card and Account Services, which allows you to retrieve card and account detail and balance information for a given card ID. This may be best suited for your use case- you can learn more about it here:

Thanks,
