Difference between API response values and actual values

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to get the current exchange rate for a transaction done on a card. However the value I get from the Foreign Exchange API ( https://developer.visa.com/capabilities/foreign_exchange/reference)
differs a lot from the value I get from the Exchange Rate calculator on the VISA website here - https://usa.visa.com/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html/

Which of the above is two is the correct value and how do I get the current exchange rate for the transaction done today.

Re: Difference between API response values and actual values

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question and  for your interest on the Foreign Exchange Rates API.

The Foreign Exchange Rates API behavior you are seeing in sandbox is expected since this API uses simulated data in the sandbox. When the Foreign Exchange Rates API moves from sandbox to production the exchange rate that you will see will be correct.

Please let me know if this information was helpful and if there are any other questions I can help you with. I am glad to be of assistance.

Thank you,

Diana

Thanks,
