Card Benefits Validation

Hi, looking to identify the proper service for validating card benefits related insurance products. Purchase protection, cell phone repair, travel interruption benefits, etc. This would be based on the PAN and event date. VCES appears like it may be the right candidate?

I would say VCES is the best fit API solution for your use case. VCES is a card number verification service designed to promote targeted distribution of Visa card benefits. The service enables Visa clients, merchants and third-party developers to use a 16-digit card account number to check eligibility and benefits access rights available for the associated Visa cardholders.

Thank you @I_Doroteo3  - I imagine we would need to get some support from Visa to understand the existing configurations for cardholders that we would be supporting? This would be in support of 'no additional charge'  insurance benefits.

Hi @ScottG,

Do you have a Visa account representative?  All projects using VCES will go through a review/approval process. If not, should you test the API in sandbox and want to promote your project, a Visa representative should reach out to you regarding the application.

We recommend reaching out to your representative early in the VCES process to ensure your application meets the criteria permitted for the use of VCES.

Saw your replies to an inquiry about benefits and your suggestion to use VCES. I have been a part of the Visa fam for years and in fact used VCES for a recent project w some patners .

Was recently told to look into CAQ to obtain similar information that VCES can provide but that CAQ might be more efficient for getting benefit info.

To this end, was here in the community simply looking to read some docs re: the CAQ API. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

Any help here?
