I own an online store on the opencart platform. I would like to add a visa direct api to the store to receive credit card payments, but I don't know how to do that.

I tried hiring web developers but none of them was able to do that.

Base on your business use case, please check out the APIs offered in Payment Methods. 

In particular, please take a look at:

1. Visa Checkout: This is a digital payment service designed to simplify the checkout experience using a secure, single sign-on across channels and devices using a customer's preferred payment method and works with your existing payment ecosystem. If you are interested in using Visa Checkout, you will need to work with a partner in order to integrate Visa Checkout into your project. You can find the list of Partners to integrate with Visa Checkout here.
2. Visa Direct: This is for Visa clients to build solutions that enable digital payments to be sent quickly and securely to Visa cards.  In order to use Visa Direct, all Visa Direct programs require the originator to be a licensed Visa acquirer or be sponsored by a licensed Visa acquirer who is ready and able to sponsor Visa Direct programs.
