Visa and PYMNTS released a new study entitled “How We Will Pay,” which found that more than 80% of Americans have a strong interest in using connected devices to make purchases.
This study asked 2,584 US consumers three questions:
- What connected devices do they own today?
- How do they use them to pay?
- How might they like to use them to pay in the future?
The study found that 75 percent of consumers have at least one connected device, in addition to their smartphones, computers or tablets. 83 percent recognize those devices as saving time and reducing friction when making purchases - subsequently creating an unattended checkout experience, regardless of device or platform.
