Visa Transaction Control pricing model

Hi - we're working on a POC, want to understand VTC pricing and the costs (from Visxa) of onboarding / registering both merchants and cardholders (if any)  Our goal is to receive transaction data (date/time/merchant/amount/card) from a registered merchant when a registered cardholder swipes their card.

Thanks!

Re: Visa Transaction Control pricing model

Hey @derby,

Visa Developer Portal an open platform, there's no cost for you to develop your application using any of the APIs in the sandbox. Once you're ready to transition to production, there's fees for each of the APIs that are used. Pricing is evaluated by application,  because there's many elements, including the nature of your application and if you have a relationship with any existing Visa partner.  Production applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis so we'll work with you to determine appropriate pricing.

Thanks,

Diana H.

Re: Visa Transaction Control pricing model

Hello,

I'm looking to use your FX API, but the "Go Live" pricing page says this:

"...an implementation fee will be charged at the time the project is promoted to the production environment."

But I can't find anywhere how much that fee is.

Thank you in advance !

Re: Visa Transaction Control pricing model

Hey - as we understand, one has to submit a proposal to obtain pricing. We've not done so yet. Sorry this reply wasn't more useful.

Re: Visa Transaction Control pricing model

Hey @JASCoder,

The Foreign Exchange Rates API is free on a transactional basis, but there is a one-time $3,000 implementation fee to get this API into production. Of course, you can play with any of our APIs in the sandbox environment for free.

Thanks,

Diana H.

Re: Visa Transaction Control pricing model

Hi Diana,

Thank you kindly for the gift of your time, and your helpful answer to my question.

Unfortunately for me and my small company, our research project can't afford the $3,000 fee at this time.

Your API's Sandbox FX data returns only mocked (fake) FX values, which for us is not useful to aiding our viability research into our project, so we'll have to seek another solution for acquiring accurate FX rates.

Best regards,

-JAS

Re: Visa Transaction Control pricing model

Hey @JASCoder,

Foreign Exchange Rates API in Sandbox provides simulated data and not real-time data. Once you move to production you will be able to work with real data. The rate you will get in production will be correct and you can also markup on it before publishing to your customers. As mentioned, if you'd like to move to production to work with real data there will be a $3,000 implementation fee.

Thanks,

Diana H.
