Re: How do i finalize my project to be able to get my visa business identification

Hey @HFT26

Visa assigns the BID to its clients. The BID is a number through which Visa bills their clients. To receive a BID, you will have to become a Visa client. To receive a Visa BID, you will need to create a project, submit the project for review and once the project is approved then VISA will assign the BID to you. You should not have to give us a BID if you do not have an existing business relationship with Visa.

Finalizing your project on the Visa Developer Platform to obtain your Visa Business Identification (BID) involves several steps. Here’s a general overview of the process:

1. Complete Your Project Development
Ensure that your project is fully developed, tested, and complies with Visa’s requirements.

2. Register on the Visa Developer Platform
If you haven’t already, create an account on the Visa Developer Platform:
- Go to [Visa Developer](https://developer.visa.com/).
- Click on "Sign Up" and fill out the registration form.

3. Create a Project
- Log in to your Visa Developer account.
- Navigate to the "Dashboard" and click "Create a New Project."
- Fill in the project details and select the APIs you intend to use.

4. Develop and Test Your Application
- Use the sandbox environment provided by Visa to develop and test your application.
- Ensure that you comply with Visa’s security and integration requirements.

5. Request Production Access
Once your application is ready, you’ll need to request production access.
- Navigate to your project in the Visa Developer Dashboard.
- Click on "Request Production" and fill out the required details, including business information.

6. Submit Required Documentation
Visa might require additional documentation to verify your business and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit any requested documents.
- This could include business licenses, compliance documents, and other relevant paperwork.

7. Review and Approval
Visa will review your submission.
- This process might involve additional questions or steps, such as a security review or compliance checks.
- Be prepared to provide further information if requested.

8. Obtain Visa Business Identification (BID)
Once your project is approved, Visa will provide you with your Visa Business Identification (BID).
- This BID is essential for accessing production APIs and going live with your application.

9. Go Live
- Integrate the production credentials into your application.
- Perform final testing in the production environment.
- Once everything is confirmed to be working correctly, you can go live with your application.

10. Support and Maintenance
- Maintain your application and ensure it stays compliant with Visa’s requirements.
- Use the Visa Developer support resources for any assistance needed.

If you encounter any issues or have specific questions, Visa Developer Support is available to assist. You can contact them through the Visa Developer Portal.

Thanks,

Diana H.
