Re: VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

Hello @namanidakshin

The subject of this community forum post is about VROL but the context of your most recent forum post is asking about VMPI. Can you please confirm which API you are planning to connect to?  VMPI and VROL have different types of connectivity.

For VMPI, it is an Outbound API where Visa sends the payload to your end point. The only settings you have to do is configure your end point, get it approved by Visa and perform Ping Test to see if you receive static payloads to the endpoint.

Details on VMPI set up are given in the below link -

https://developer.visa.com/pages/working-with-visa-apis/outbound-configuration

If you are interested in using VROL, then you will use mutual ssl authentication for connectivity. Please follow this guide - https://developer.visa.com/pages/working-with-visa-apis/two-way-ssl

Thanks,

Tee

Re: VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

Hello Diana,

I was under the impression that both VROL and VMPI are the same. Is there a different API for VROL? How VROL is different from VMPI? Can you please provide me more details (like any document) on this?

Thanks

Dakshin

Hi @namanidakshin,

Can you please provide us with your use case so that I can provide you with further assistance? Also, what is your use case for using VMPI?

Re: VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

Hello Diana,

We will be acting as a facilitator for merchants.

Actually I am confused with all the posts here that says VROL/VMPI. More confusion from the response to my question on auth method for VMPI that says "X-Pay-Token authentication method will be used for VMPI".

Do we have to follow the steps in the outbound configuration set up or use  X-pay token auth method or both?

Thanks

Dakshin
