VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

Hello!

Our company is a merchant who operating in card not present area and we have transactions processing via different processors and banks. And we are very interested of how we can connect to the VMPI / VROL process, so we can provide information about transactions before chargebacks will be initiated so we can prevent chargebacks and make pre-dispute process smooth and clear with banks and customers?

Can we integrate directly to Visa through an API to provide responses for VROL/VMPI requests, or we need to do it through our processors/banks only?

Where can we get the API to the VMPI/VROL service (we have no Visa representative).

Thank you in advance.

Re: VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

Hi! Thank you for providing the documentation!

Can I kindly ask you to let me know when the VMPI/VROL API will be launched? Is there's any estimated dates for the launch?

We'd like to connect to this process and we'd like to receive some kind of instruction of how we can connect to it via API step by step.

Looking forward for your response.

Thanks!

Hi @LoretaKouyiali,

At this time, I do not have a confirmed date on when the VMPI API will be launched. Please look out for the API launch on our site https://developer.visa.com/ where the detailed informatoin will be posted for VMPI API.

Overview of Visa Resolve Online (VROL) You must respond quickly and accurately to cardholder disputes to reduce prepaid gift balance losses. Visa Resolve Online helps you reduce processing times and improve the accuracy of dispute information. ... It also provides information about how to implement Visa Resolve Online.

PrepaidGiftBalance – Nowadays prepaid gift cards have become popular in the United States. It almost looks like a credit card which you can use in the market area for purchasing any goods.

Re: VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

Hello,

1. Which authentication method to be used for VMPI. Is it X-Pay Token or Two-Way SSL?

https://community.developer.visa.com/t5/Visa-Developer-Capabilities/API-Announcement-New-authenticat...

The above link says X-Pay token authentication mechanism will be used but it appears sample Java code of the project has Two-Way SSL. Please clarify.

2. What all information a merchant has to provide in order for them to integrate with VMPI ?

Thanks

Re: VROL for merchants - how to be connected?

Hello @namanidakshin

X-Pay-Token authentication method will be used for VMPI.

It depends if you are a single merchant then you will need to fill out the merchant form or if you are planning to operate on behalf of multiple merchant (like an Acquirer, ISO, Gateway, Dispute Service Provider or any other 3rd party then you will need to fill out Facilitator form.

Thank you,

Vaibhav
