API to to retrieve all supported currencies

Hi, 

Is anybody able to advise if Visa has an api you can call which would return all supported currencies.

Looking to do something a bit more dynamic than hardcoding a list based on the docs on the site...

Hey @chaenich,

Visa supports all currencies that an acquiring bank can support. However, currency conversions are visa issuers/acquirers banks responsibility for different APIs if required conversion. For example, if the transaction is originated in Brazil (Brazilian currency) funds pull will be in Brazilian currency and the acquirer will push funds to a Visa Issuer’s account in the receiving card account’s home currency (e.g. US Dollars). The Acquirer is responsible for the network conversion fees and the originator(you) will be responsible for incorporating that in your App.

So can you confirm there is no Visa api I can call to get the supported currency list (like https://sandbox.api.mastercard.com/enhanced/settlement/currencyrate/subscribed/mc-currencies for mastercard)?
