Hi my name is Chris May and I work for Ciphertext Solutions, Inc. We have been working with Visa for some time on Push Provisioning for our product called IssueDirect and I am very interested in the article published yesterday How Visa In-App Provisioning Can Help Solve Your Digital Issuance Problems
The article states "With the Visa In-App Provisioning API or SDK, issuers can easily implement push-provisioning to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay". I am very familiar with the process of push provisioning, and have implemented it as a proof-of-concept for Visa, Google Pay and on of our bank customers. I have a couple of questions.
1. Can you please clarify for me, is the Visa API/SDK server-side only?
2. Also, I tried to add the API "Visa In-App Provisioning" to our sandbox project on VDP and I got an error "We're sorry, the following error occurred. We encountered an unexpected error. Please try again." Can you perhaps help us resolve this error, or point us to someone at Visa who can help us resolve this?
Thanks again for the nice article and any assistance.

For #2, can you please clear browser cache/cookies and retry? If the error persists, can you please let us know what browser you are using?
If you can also let us know the correlation ID of the error, that would be very helpful.
Below are the steps to get the Correlation ID using a Google Chrome browser.
1>Open Chrome menu.
2>Click on More tools then Developer tools.
3>Check the box to Preserve Log for the Network Tab.
4>Then try to create a new project.
5> Once you received the error message, you can find the Correlation ID in the network log.
6> Please take a screenshot of the entire screen showing the error and send it over for us to investigate.
Hi Stacey, thanks for your reply. I tried creating a new project and that worked. Previously I tried to add the Visa Push Provisioning APIs to my existing project and that did not work. So, creating a new project resolves the issue I guess, although you might want to investigate why the API cannot be added to an existing project.
Could you please also answer my first question? Am I correct in assuming that you do not offer a native mobile library that can be embedded in mobile applications that wrap the ApplePay, GooglePay and SamsungPay libraries? We have our own libraries for these, I am just curious if you offer this.
Thank you very much for your response.
Thanks for confirming that #2 is resolved. I have reached out to the product team regarding #1 and I will get back with an update as soon as I have one.
Thanks for your patience, I'm happy to share below responses from our product team for question #1.
Visa In-App Provisioning SDK is a client-side native mobile library that wraps the functionality for Apple, Google and Samsung Pay libraries in order to orchestrate in a single interface the provisioning flow.
Visa In-App Provisioning API is server side only.
Hi Stacey, that's great. Can you please tell me how I can get access to the SDK? I have searched your portal and I can't seem to find it. Thank you!
The SDK is currently not offered through Visa Developer Center. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll pass it to the product team. Thanks.
