What is the "unable to find 'distinguised_name' in config problems making Certificate Request" error

I have no idea what this error is or how to fix it. I am just following these instructions to connect to an API (https://developer.visa.com/pages/working-with-visa-apis/two-way-ssl).

Re: What is the "unable to find 'distinguised_name' in config problems making Certificate Reque

Hey @nbosio1001,

I'm happy to help! Can you please let us know the API product you are testing with and receiving an error on? Also, please provide a screenshot of the error and provide the following information so I can help take a look at the issue:

  1. Endpoint
  2. Request Header
  3. Request Body
  4. Response Header (include the x-correlation-id)
  5. Response Body

Using SoapUI, you can find the x-correlation-id in the Raw Tab of the response header.

Thanks,

Diana

My goal is to get an API to get my credit card charges including date, amount, and description of charge. I am using the Card Inquiry API and Card Services API.

I have been trying to follow these instructions (working-with-visa-apis/two-way-ssl) webpage. I am at the

"Configuring Two-Way SSL Keystore Using Your Own CSR" section. Here is my error.issue.JPG

Re: What is the "unable to find 'distinguised_name' in config problems making Certificate Reque

Hey @nbosio1001,

It looks like you are looking to use the Visa Developer APIs for your own personal use.

In your message to us you wrote, "My goal is to get an API to get my credit card charges ...". Can you please confirm if you're looking to utilize Visa Developer APIs for your personal use? If so, please note that this platform is for the developer community, banks and merchants to build solutions with our APIs to market to their customers.

It's not a solution for end users, though please feel free to create an account and experiment in our sandbox.

Please let us know if I've misunderstood, and if you're a developer looking to build a solution for your customers. Knowing that our APIs are not for end users, if you'd still like me to assist you with the technical troubleshooting please let us know. I'd be happy to help.

Thanks,

Diana
