General use questions on the Universal Card Enrolment APIs

Hi Support Team,

We are looking to build a front-end to allow use and interaction with the Universal Card Enrollment APIs. There are a few questions which don't seem to be addressed in the documentation.

  1. What is the timeout period on the Enroll Card API?
  2. Is there a retention policy on Visa's side for storing PAN - vCardID? In other words, under what circumstances would we need to consider using the DELETE card API?

Re: General use questions on the Universal Card Enrolment APIs

Hi @GeorgeShia,

To answer your questions, the card enrollment API has a timeout of 20 seconds.

As for the Delete calls, they allow the client to clean up their enrollments; the main use case that might “require” the client to utilize it is if the cardholder opts out of whatever service the client is providing (to remain compliant with GDPR/GDPR-like regulation).

Thanks,

Diana H.
