Visa Direct OCT

Hi there,

I am Joseph and I am new to Visa Direct product. I would like to inquire about the API redoc for Visa Direct.

Here is my background:

1. I worked for a bank as a technical business analyst

2. I am tasks to perform source to target mapping.

3. As a issuer bank, we will accept an inward international OCT payment from VisaNet. However, I do not know what that inward message from VisaNet will look like eg. would that be in a form of ISO8583 format 0200/0210? or JSON? or XML?

4. I would like to know what the inward payment structure is, and if I can get a sample message that contains a payload that would be a starting point for me, as I need to understand the fields and how this will be mapped to our systems.

The beneficiary financial institution or their processor would typically receive the OCT transaction in ISO8583 format as an 0200/0210 or as an 0100 depending on how you currently process card payment transactions, unless you have implemented OCT receive side APIs.

Most beneficiary financial institutions simply receive the OCT to their normal card payment processing endpoint. You can find the sample structure of an ISO8583 Original Credit in the Original Credit Global Implementation Guide located on VisaOnline (VOL). Your Visa Account Manager can assist in obtaining access to the guide.
