Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself, where are you from and what is your current role at Visa?

[Diana]: I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and I moved to California later in life. My current role is on the Visa Developer Platform where I provide developer support and I’m the Visa Developer Center community forum moderator. In both of these communication channels, I work directly with clients to answer their questions and resolve their technical issues.

Q: What do you enjoy most from interacting with other devs on the forums?

[Diana]: I enjoy meeting people from all over the world with different backgrounds but with a common purpose, to collaborate and solve Visa Developer related issues. This is a great opportunity to gain insight from the perspective of the customer.

Q: If you were an API, what would you be? Why? 😀

[Diana:]I’d be a Visa Direct API because I’m a worldly person that embraces and enjoys learning about different cultures and helping others, and, since Visa Direct is available for use globally I believe this API would be a good fit for me.

Q: What do you love most about coding?

[Diane]: The creative aspect is what I love the most about coding. Coding really is a language that allows one to express themselves and communicate in a logical way.

Q: What was the first thing you built with code?

[Diana]: I created websites for friends and family.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you have for developers new to Visa Developer?

[Diana]: Don't be afraid to reach out and ask questions. We have a very friendly and capable staff willing to help and engage in dialog with our customers.

Q: Any tips for developers exploring payments?

[Diana]: Check out this link for our Payments APIs and choose the API that best fits your project’s need - https://developer.visa.com/site/payment-methods

Q: Anything else you want to share about yourself?

[Diana]: I really love working at Visa and think it's a great opportunity for myself and anyone else interested in working at a fast paced and friendly environment.
