Visa ATM Locator in Android App

Hello, I want to know if we can call the Visa ATM Locator API directly from a mobile app(Android or iOS). Currently, the certificate can only be stored on a single machine. I want to know if we require an app/client side MW to handle the communication with Visa or if just the app is sufficient to communicate with Visa.
