Hello Experts,
In my mobile wallet, If I use same credit card in two different mobile devices, Would there be only one visa token key generated for a PAN(16 digit credit card number) or different PAN for the same PAN for both mobile devices.
I heard the Visa token is generated and stored at Visa Token Vault. If so, would the token generated is linked to device, card number etc.
Appreciate your inputs.
Thank You
Paul

Great question! I'll take a look and let you know soon.
Hey @paul_earnest,
I'm updating my answer to this post, I have also confirmed that the same wallet, on multiple devices will produce unique tokens, not the same token.
Hello @DianaTran-Yee,
If there are multiple mobile applications like Apple Pay, Mobile Wallet Pay etc in the same device uses the same PAN, then would it be still one token per device or one token per mobile app per device? Please help me out to get confirmation. Thank You, Paul
Hey @paul_earnest,
Great question! I'll get back to you with an answer soon.
Hey @paul_earnest,
To answer your question, across different digital wallets the tokens will be different for the same card number.
For instance Fitbit and GooglePay on the same device will have two unique tokens for the same PAN if the PAN is enrolled in both services.
I have also confirmed that the same wallet, on multiple devices will produce unique tokens, not the same token.
Dear @API_Products
When Visa moves from COF Token to Cloud Token, would there be multiple tokens created for different TR (Third Party Apps) other than the Issuer Wallet for the SAME PAN. As I understand from the Visa Technical Architect, Using CTF implementation the TR (Fitbit, Amazon, Lazada apps) will use App-to-App CVM with the Issuer Wallet and would eventually get those tokens binded for that device.
The question is Would Cloud Token reduce the number of tokens created for the same PAN in the Visa Vault System if accessed by multiple apps from the same device.
Thank you
Paul
